Celebrating Our School – Art Competition – Hand In To Artroom 2 By 1st Nov.

Loreto Education started in Ireland, here in Rathfarnham 200 years ago with Teresa Ball setting up the first school.

As part of our Loreto Bicentenary year, we are inviting our students to take part in an art project.

We are giving art and hobby vouchers as prizes and the winning art works will be framed and displayed in the school.

How to enter:

Complete an art piece in any medium. You can use paint, collage, watercolour, pen, pencil etc.

Size – we will accept work that is A3 size and we will accept work that is A2 size.

Work must be handed in by Monday November 1st 2021.

Theme – Celebrating Our School

We are looking for work that has impact in terms of the following key words:

Freedom, Joy, Heritage, Rathfarnham, Loreto, Teresa Ball, Mary Ward, Our School Environment Today.

You can create a still life with objects – you could do a portrait –or an imaginative composition – you can include text if you like –

Some text inspiration: ‘Go Set The World On Fire.’ Teresa Ball 

The Judges will consider the following:

Composition, Colour, Tone/Line, Imagination and Impact, connecting to the theme, appropriate use of text and font.
