Congratulations to our 1st Years who received the Silver Award in the Young Classicist Award recently for their entry of their piece called “Desperation”.
Orlaith and Keelin entry represents Persephone, who is the figure in the centre of the canvas, desperately trying to save the climate. Persephone’s size shows that even a God feels small facing climate change. The newspaper clippings are of various articles depicting issues that stem from climate change. The plants around Persephone are wilting and dead due to climate change.
