STAND UP WEEK At Beaufort

in News
Last week, as we returned to the classroom following our Winter Assessments, we celebrated Stand Up Week in Beaufort. We kicked the week off by screening Heartstopper at lunchtime. We then had a bake sale on Thursday and raised €215 for the Transgender Equality Network Ireland (TENI). Ms Sheridan’s 2nd year English class wrote some fabulous acrostic poems and Ms Walsh’s 6th year Religion class decorated the school in gorgeous posters celebrating pride. To draw the week to a close, we had our Beaufort BeYourPride Parade. Our whole school community came together on the hockey pitch to celebrate inclusivity and diversity, with a few Mexican waves for good measure! We had so much fun while embracing and affirming diversity, as per our Mary Ward Compass, all at the same time. Well done to all involved! ??️‍?
