Loreto Rumbek is our sister school in South Sudan. Every year the Beaufort community fundraises to help girls in Loreto Rumbek receive an education. This year we will host a colour run, “Rainbow for Rumbek”, in school on the 26th of April. Loreto Rumbek was established in 2008 and since its opening, Loreto Beaufort supports its Primary and Secondary School, which educates girls from ages 5 to 20. South Sudan is ranked as the world’s most difficult nation for girls to receive an education. Only 2% of girls in South Sudan will enrol in secondary school and it costs €5 a day to keep a girl in secondary school in Rumbek. We would greatly appreciate all contributions to our fundraiser to help the girls in Rumbek receive an education.
