We want to share the success of our Ty students who participated in the Scifest regional competition yesterday in Blanchardstown TU.
In the intermediate category of Life Science Luisa May Luxardi with the project Global warming sucks came in 4th place, Aoife Donough and Amy Cullen with the project Levelling the Playing field came 2nd place and Daniela Perju and Grace Garrigan with the project SkillBuilderz came in 1st place.
Daniela Perju and Grace Garrigan then went on to win the Runner-up best Project.
Just a little information on the Runner-up Best Project Award
This award was presented to the overall second-best project. Following the completion of the regional SciFest@College 2024 STEM fairs the runners-up will be invited to submit their project report books to SciFest in September 2024. A panel of judges appointed by SciFest will assess the projects, based on the report books, and select the projects to go forward to participate in the National Final 2024.
