Green Week 2022 – A Great Success

in News
Our Green Committee’s ‘Green Week’ has come to an end and the whole school community has fully enjoyed all of the exciting activities that they planned for us. We had an Inter-House Four Corners with environmental questions at lunch on Monday, we made sustainable bookmarks on Tuesday and brought in our own animal teddies on Wednesday to celebrate biodiversity ?????
We concluded the week with a Treasure Hunt on Thursday and a Student Vs Teachers quiz on Friday ?
Many thanks to the Green Committee for all their hard work in making Beaufort a sustainable and environmentally friendly community for us all to enjoy. Thanks to Ms O’Reilly, Ms Matthews, Ms Maloney, Ms Phelan and Ms Conlon for their help too.

From the 4th-8th of April, Green Week took place at Beaufort, hosted by the Green Committee, to raise awareness about the environment. There were Disney-themed announcements on the intercom each day with Green tips and facts. On Monday we had Inter-house four corners with environmental questions at lunch. Tuesday was Tree Tuesday and there was bookmark making in the library. Students and staff were encouraged to bring their stuffed animals to school on Wednesday to celebrate biodiversity. Thursday was the Treasure Hunt. On Friday, we wore green and there was a students vs teachers table quiz in the assembly hall at lunch. Everyone was encouraged to walk or cycle to school each day during the week.

Pictures in the slider include: Sahu winning four corners on Monday. Some teddies brought in by students and staff on Wednesday to celebrate biodiversity. 3T with their penguin mascot on Wednesday. Treasure hunt and some of our winners! The very green students vs teacher table quiz! The Green Team were our winners that day.
